H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Joachim Gauck, President of Federal Republic of Germany on the occasion of the Unity Day of Germany. The message reads as follows:-

The message reads as follows;

President of the Federal Republic of Germany,

Berlin,

GERMANY.

Your Excellency,

It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the Government and people of the United Republic of Tanzania, and indeed on my own behalf, to extend cordial congratulations to You, the Government and people of Germany on the occasion of your country’s Unity Day.

Our historical bilateral relations are multifaceted and we cooperate in many areas such as education, energy, tourism, water and sanitation. 

On this special occasion, I wish to cherish and celebrate these excellent bilateral relations that exist between our two countries. Let me also take this opportunity to assure you that the Government of Tanzania remains committed to maintaining and consolidating these relations for the mutual benefit of the people of our two countries.

Please accept, Your Excellency, my best wishes for your good health and continued peace and prosperity for the people of Germany.
