The
message reads as follows.
“The
Right Honourable Stephen Harper,
The Prime Minister of Canada,
Rt. Honourable and Dear colleague,
On
behalf of the People and the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania, and
indeed on my own behalf, I extend to you and through you to the People of
Canada, my sincere congratulations on the occasion of Canada's National Day.
Tanzania and Canada continue to enjoy excellent
bilateral relations that date back to the early years of our independence. Throughout
the years, our two nations have continued to work together to strengthen our
friendship, cooperation and partnership both at the individual and Government
levels. As you celebrate your county's National Day, I take this opportunity to
reiterate my personal commitment and that of my Government to work closely with
you and Your Government in elevating to greater heights, the cordial bilateral
relations that happily exist between our two countries and peoples.
I
wish you, Rt. Honourable, personal good health and prosperity as you lead the
people of Canada.
