Ambassador
Wilfred Joseph Ngirwa was honoured by unvailing his portrait in the UN Food and
Agricultural Organization in Rome during the Session of the FAO Council which
was held from 24- 28 April 2017.
Ambassador Ngirwa, the current Independent Chairperson of the UN Council, was unanimously elected unopposed by Member Nations of the FAO to serve in his capacity in 2013. Previously, he was the Ambassador of Tanzania as Permanent Representative to the UN Food Agencies in Rome, Italy.
The Ambassador of Tanzania in Italy H.E George Kahema Madafa represented Tanzania in the FAO Council
Session and witnessed the unvailing of portrait ceremony of Ambassador Ngirwa.
