H.E Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the
United Republic of Tanzania has sent a congratulatory message to H.E Sauli Niinistö,
President of the Republic of Finland on the occasion of the National Day of
Finland on 6th December, 2013.
The message reads as follows:
“Your
Excellency,
SauliNiinistö,
President of
the Republic of Finland,
Helsinki,
FINLAND.
Your
Excellency,
I am very pleased to join the International
community to salute you, the Government and through you, the people of the
Republic of Finland on this special occasion of Finland’s 96th
Independence Anniversary.
It gives me pleasure to note the impressive
achievements Finland has made in different areas notably technology, forestry,
education, health, scientific research and construction industry. In the area
of development cooperation, Finland has always been at the forefront in
supporting developing countries including Tanzania.
I have the firm impression that our two
countries would continue to partner and open new avenues in trade and
investment matters and thereby support and encourage the role of the private
sector in economic development. Tanzania will continue to borrow a leaf from
Finland through various channels so as to make the concept of partnership more
meaningful.
Please accept Your Excellency, best wishes
from the Government and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania for your
personal good health, peace and prosperity of the Republic of Finland.
Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete
PRESIDENT OF
THE UNITED REPBULIC OF TANZANIA”
