FRANCE

Your Excellency,

I have received with great sadness and dismay the devastating news of the tragic attack at the Charlie Hebdo offices in Paris which has claimed the lives of 12 people and injured several others. On behalf of the Government and the People of the United Republic of Tanzania and on my own behalf, I wish to convey to you our heartfelt condolences and through you to the bereaved families who have been robbed of their loved ones by this heinous act.

France and Tanzania enjoy good relations through which we have worked hand in hand to tackle the most pressing security challenges of our time. To this end, I condemn this senseless attack which aimed at bringing fear and insecurity among the French people and the world at large. We are convinced that under your able leadership, the Government of France will leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to justice.

While wishing all the victims fortitude in this difficult time, please accept, Your Excellency, renewed assurances of my highest consideration.
