H.E. Hassan Rouhani, President of Iran

His Excellency Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania has sent a congratulatory message to His Excellency Hassan Rouhani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of celebrating 36th Anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran. The message reads as follows;
“Your Excellency
Hassan Rouhani,
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran,
TEHRAN
Your Excellency and Dear Brother,
On behalf of the Government and People of the United Republic of Tanzania and indeed on my own behalf, I would like to take this opportunity to extend to Your Excellency and through you, to the Government and People of the Islamic Republic of Iran our profound congratulations and best wishes on this historic occasion of celebrating the 36th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
The People of Tanzania and Iran enjoy cordial relations cemented by historic and cultural bonds dating back long ago. These relations provide a strong foundation for fraternal relations between our two countries that have been nurtured and developed by successive leadership in our two countries. In that regard, Tanzania and Iran maintain close cooperation in a number of important areas such as health and education. We wish to consolidate further and expand these relations to include other sectors such as transport, trade, investments, technology, oil, gas and communication.
Your Excellency,
I would like to assure you of my personal commitment as well as that of my Government to continue working closely with your Government at bilateral and international levels. It is my sincere hope that our traditional cooperation through NAM and the UN aimed at enhancing peace and security as a basis for socio-economic development not only in our countries but also at global level.
