Rais Kikwete afungua rasmi Kongamano la Kwanza la Diaspora nchini


Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, Mhe. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete akiingia Ukumbini kwa ajili ya ufunguzi  rasmi wa Kongamano la Kwanza la Diaspora hapa nchini lililoandaliwa kwa ushirikiano kati ya Serikali ya Tanzania na Taasisi ya Tanzania Diaspora Initiative (TDI). Kongamano hilo lililofanyika kwenye Hoteli ya Serena Jijini Dar es Salaam limewakutanisha Watanzania wanaoishi nje ya nchi  kutoka nchi zaidi ya 17 ikiwemo Marekani, Uingereza, Canada, Cambodia, Zambia, Ujerumani, Ufaransa, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Afrika Kusini, China, Tunisia, Comoro na Finland.
Kaimu Katibu Mkuu wa Wizara ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa, Balozi Simba Yahya pamoja na washiriki wengine wa mkutano wakimkaribisha Mhe. Rais Kikwete alipowasili kwa ajili ya kufungua Kongamano la Kwanza la Diaspora hapa nchini.

Taarifa kwa Vyombo vya Habari

TAARIFA KWA VYOMBO VYA HABARI

Rais Kikwete, Mgeni Rasmi katika Mkutano wa Diaspora

Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, Mhe. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete anatarajiwa kuwa Mgeni Rasmi katika mkutano wa Watanzania wanaoishi ughaibuni (Diaspora) ambao umepangwa kufanyika katika Hoteli ya Serena jijini Dar es Salaam tarehe 14 na 15 Agosti 2014.

Mkutano huo ambao umeandaliwa kwa ushirikiano kati ya Serikali ya Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania na Taasisi ya Diaspora Tanzania (Tanzania Diaspora Initiative-TDI), unalenga kuwahamasisha Watanazania wanaoishi ughaibuni wenye utaalamu na mitaji kurudi nchini au kuwekeza katika shughuli mbalimbali kwa madhumuni ya kukuza uchumi wa nchi.

Aidha, Mkutano huo ambao ni wa kwanza kufanyika nchini, wenye kaulimbiu “Unganisha, Shiriki, Toa taarifa na Wekeza” (Connect, Engage, Inform and Invest) utatoa nafasi kwa washiriki kutambua vyema fursa za uwekezaji na ajira zinazopatikana Tanzania.

Tanzania na Jamhuri ya Korea kuimarisha ushirikiano



Mkurugenzi wa Idara ya Asia na Australasia katika Wizara ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa, Balozi Mbelwa Kairuki akizungumza wakati wa mkutano kati yake na Mkurugenzi anayeshughulikia masuala ya Afrika na Mashariki ya Kati kutoka Jamhuri ya Korea Bw. KWON Hee-seog (hayupo pichani) kuhusu masuala mbalimbali katika kuimarisha ushrikiano kati ya Tanzania na Jamhuri ya Korea. Mkutano huo uliwahusisha pia wadau  kutoka Wizara na Taasisi mbalimbali za hapa nchini akiwemo Mkurugenzi wa Mamlaka ya Ukanda Maalum wa Uwekezaji  (EPZA), Dkt. Adelhelm Meru (mwenye miwani).

Jana tarehe 10 Agost 2014, Watanzania wanaoishi katika Muungano wa Visiwa vya Comoro walianzisha rasmi Jumuiya yao. Lengo la kuanzishwa kwa Jumuiya hiyo ni kuwaunganisha wanachama wake, kuwawezesha kushirikiana katika kutambua fursa za maendeleo na kutoa mchango kwa taifa lao la Tanzania.

Mkutano huo ulifanyika katika Ukumbi wa Mikutano wa Ubalozi wa Tanzania, Moroni. Wakati akifungua mkutano huo, Mhe. Chabaka Kilumanga, Balozi wa Tanzania nchini Comoro aliwaeleza Watanzania hao kwamba Serikali ya Tanzania inathamini sana na kutambua umuhimu wao Serikali imeanzisha Idara inayoshughulikia Watanzania wanaoishi Ughaibuni katika Wizara ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa.

Aidha, Kitengo kama hicho kimeanzishwa katika Ofisi ya Rais wa Zanzibar. Sambamba na hilo, Viongozi wote wamekuwa wakikutana na Watanzania wanaoishi Ughaibuni, kila wanapopata fursa ya kufanya hivyo, wanapokuwa nje ya nchi. Mkuu wa Utawala wa Ubalozi, Nd. Ali Jabir Mwadini alitoa mada kuhusu misingi ya uanzishaji wa Jumuiya za Kiraia na kubainisha vipengele muhimu vinavyopaswa kuzingatiwa hususani katika katiba ya Jumuiya.
Mwisho, ulifanyika uchaguzi wa viongozi wa muda waliopewa jukumu la kuandaa katiba.

Balozi Chabaka afanya mazungumzo na Mwenyekiti wa Exim Bank

Mhe. Chabaka Kilumanga (wa pili kushoto), Balozi wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania amefanya mazungumzo na Bw. Yogesh Manek, Mwenyekiti wa Bodi ya Exim Bank, kwenye Makazi ya Balozi, mjini Moroni. Maudhui ya mazungumzo hayo yalihusu azma ya Ubalozi ya kuwakutanisha wafanyabiashara wa Tanzania na wenzao wa Comoro kwa lengo la kuwezesha kila upande kutambua wafanyabiasha wanaotambulika na kuaminika  na pia kuwahamasisha kufanya biashara kwa kutumia taratibu rasmi. Uongozi wa Exim Bank umekubali kusaidia kifanyanikisha azma hiyo. Mhe. Balozi na Bw. Manek walizungumzia pia uwezekano wa Exim Bank kudhamini mradi mkubwa wa umeme ambao unategemewa kuanzishwa kati ya Shirika la Umeme la Comoro na Kampuni ya DACC Global ya Marekani kwa kushirikiana na Kampuni ya NSI Energy ya Tanzania.

INVITATION FOR ADMISSION INTO CERTIFICATE (NTA LEVEL 4), ORDINARY DIPLOMA (NTA LEVEL 5 & 6), DEGREE (NTA LEVEL 7 & 8) AND POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2014/2015

A: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALL APPLICANTS

i)            THE CENTRE HAS INTRODUCED A BACHELORS DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND DIPLOMACY (BDIRD) BEGINNING IN THE 2014/15 ACADEMIC YEAR.

ii)            Applicants aspiring to pursue Bachelors Degree in International Relations and Diplomacy should lodge their applications through the Central Admission System (CAS) under TCU and NACTE.

iii)           Applicants for Certificate, Ordinary Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma programmes should lodge their applications directly to the Centre not later than 29th August 2014.

B: PROGRAMMES OFFERED AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

1. A BASIC CERTIFICATE IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND DIPLOMACY (NTA LEVEL 4)

            Regular and Evening Sessions
This is a one year programme aimed at equipping students to apply basic knowledge and skills in the field of International Relations and Diplomacy at work places. The graduands normally work under close supervision of qualified professionals in public, private and Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs).

          Entry Qualifications:
All applicants of the Certificate programme must have an Ordinary Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least FOUR passes, OR equivalent qualifications.

2. AN ORDINARY DIPLOMA IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND DIPLOMACY (NTA LEVEL 5 AND 6)

Regular and Evening Sessions
This is a two-year programme aimed at enabling students to apply knowledge and skills in International Relations and Diplomacy at work places. The graduands are trained to work independently under the supervision of qualified professionals in public, private and Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs).

          Entry Qualifications:

i)            Direct Entry
A candidate must have an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), with ONE principal pass and TWO subsidiaries obtained at the same sitting and Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) with credit passes in THREE subjects.

          ii)        Equivalent Entry Scheme
A candidate must have a certificate from any institution recognized by NACTE with at least a second class or an average of B and above. 

3. A BACHELORS DEGREE IN INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND DIPLOMACY (BDIRD)

Regular and Evening Sessions
This is a three-year programme aimed at producing qualified and competent graduands to work in the field of International Relations and Diplomacy. The graduands are trained to work independently under the supervision of qualified professionals in public, private and Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs).

          Entry Qualifications:

ii)           Direct Entry
A candidate must have an Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE), with two principal passes excluding religious subjects and Certificate of Secondary Education (CSEE) with credit passes in THREE subjects.

          ii)        Equivalent Entry Scheme
A candidate must possess an Ordinary Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy or related field from any institution recognized by NACTE with at least a second class or an average of B and above. 

4. POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES: Evening Session Only

i)        POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN MANAGEMENT OF FOREIGN RELATIONS
This is a one year programme aimed at enabling students to acquire higher professional knowledge and skills in International Relations and Diplomacy and apply them in work places. The graduands can handle complex and newly emerging problems related to the course in the community. 


ii)       POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN ECONOMIC DIPLOMACY
This is a one year programme which aims at enabling graduates to acquire higher professional knowledge and skills in Economic Diplomacy and apply them in work places. The graduands can handle complex and newly emerging problems related to the course in the community.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         A good First Degree or its Equivalent, OR
·         A good Advanced Diploma from recognized institutions.
·         Masters Degree holders are also encouraged to apply.

C: APPLICATION PROCEDURES

·         Non-refundable application fee of Tshs. 30,000/=.
·         Payments should be made through the Centre for Foreign Relations - A/C No. 20101100061 - NMB Bank.
·         Photocopies of certificates and testimonials should be attached.
·         The deadline for applicants for Certificate, Ordinary Diploma and Postgraduate Diploma is Friday 29th August, 2014.
·         Academic Year 2014/2015 commences on 29th September, 2014.
