Israel yazindua Kituo cha Kutoa VIZA

Waziri wa Maliasili na Utalii, Mhe. Prof. Jumanne Maghembe (Mb) ambaye alikuwa Mgeni Rasmi kwenye sherehe za kufungua Kituo cha Kutoa viza za kwenda nchini Israel akiwasilisha hotuba katika ufunguzi huo. Prof. Maghembe alipongeza uamuzi wa Israel kufungua kituo hicho hapa nchini kwa kuwa kitarahisisha ziara za kwenda Israel kwa Watanzania. Aidha, alirejea kauli ya Mhe. Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania kuhusu dhamira ya Serikali ya kufungua Ubalozi nchini Israel. Prof. Maghembe alieleza kuwa idadi ya watalii kutoka Israel kuja Tanzania inaendelea kuongezeka na jana alikutana na wakala wa usafirishaji kutoka nchi hiyo ambao wana nia ya kuanza safari za ndege za kila wiki kutoka Israel hadi mkoani Katavi (charter flights) kutembelea  maoeneo ya utalii.  Ndege aina kama hiyo inafanya safari za kuja Tanzania katika mikoa ya kaskazini mara mbili kwa mwaka. Prof. Maghembe alisisitiza umuhimu wa Tanzania kushirikiana na Israel katika sekta ya teknolojia hususan mbinu za kitaalamu za kukabiliana na ujangili wa wanayamapori nchini.Kituo cha viza kitakuwa na ofisi za muda kwenye Hoteli ya Hyatt Regency, Kilimanjaro jijini Dar es Salaam.
Balozi wa Israel nchini Tanzania mwenye makazi yake Nairobi, Kenya, Mhe. Yahel Vilan akitoa neno la ukaribisho wakati wa sherehe za ufunguzi. Alisema anashukuru Mungu ametimiza ombi alilotoa Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania alipokutana naye Ikuku, Dar es Salaam. Mhe. Rais aliomba Serikali ya Israel ifungue Kituo cha Viza hapa nchini jambo ambalo limetia leo hii. Aliongeza kuwa Tanzania ni miongoni mwa nchi maarufu nchini Israel, hivyo anatarajia ahadi ya kufungua Ubalozi wa Tanzania nchini humo litatekelezwa hivi karibuni.

Mhe. Vilan akizungumza ambapo alieleza kuwa Israel itaendelea kushirikiana na Tanzania katika kuhakikisha kuwa inatekeleza azma ya kuwaletea maendeleo wananchi wake.

Jana, tarehe 03 Novemba, 2016, Nchi Wanachama wa Baraza Kuu la Umoja wa Mataifa zimemchagua kwa mara ya pili mtanzania Prof. Chris Maina Peter, Mhadhiri wa sheria katika Shule ya Sheria ya Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es salaam kuwa Mjumbe wa Kamisheni ya Sheria za Kimataifa ya Umoja wa Mataifa (the International Law Commission (ILC) yenye jumla ya Wajumbe 34.



Kwa mara ya kwanza Prof. Peter alichaguliwa kwa mara ya kwanza Novemba 2011, kuwa Mjumbe kwenye Kamati hiyo kwa kipindi cha miaka mitano (5) kuanzia 2012-2016, hivyo ushindi huo utamfanya kuwa Mjumbe kwenye Kamati hiyo kwa kipindi kingine cha miaka 5 kuanzia 2017-2021. Kwa upande wa Afrika, uchaguzi huo ulijumuisha wagombea 16 kuwania nafasi nane za Bara hilo, ambapo wagombea kutoka nchi za Algeria, Misri, Kenya, Moroko, Afrika Kusini na Tanzania waliibuka kidedea kwenye uchaguzi huo.



Kamisheni ya Sheria za Kimataifa ya Umoja wa Mataifa (Iternationa Law Commission (ILC) ilianzishwa mwaka 1948 kwa madhumuni ya kufanya tafiti, kuendeleza na kutunga sheria za Kimataifa (promotion/research, development and codification of international law). Sambamba na majukumu hayo, ILC inao wajibu wa kuushauri Umoja wa Mataifa kuhusu masulaa yote yanayohusu sheria za kimataifa.



Serikali ya Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania kupitia Wizara ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Afrika Mashariki inapenda kumpongeza Prof. Chris Maina Peter kwa ushindi huo ambao si kwamba umemjengea heshima kubwa yeye peke yake bali Tanzania kwa ujumla. Wizara itaendelea kutoa msaada na ushauri kwa Prof. Peter na Watanzania wengine wenye nafasi kama hizo ili waweze kutekeleza majukumu yao kwa ufanisi mkubwa na hivyo kuongeza na kuimarisha nguvu na ushawishi wa Tanzania katika Mahusiano ya Kimataifa na Diplomasia kwa ujumla. Aidha, Wizara inapenda kuwakumbusha Watanzania wote wenye sifa za kitaaluma kuchangamkia nafasi mbalimbali za ajira zinazotolewa na Umoja wa Mataifa na Jumuiya nyingine za Kikanda pamoja na kujitokeza kuwania nafasi mbalimbali za kiutendaji zinazojitokeza.

WAZIRI MAHIGA AKUTANA NA BALOZI WA UMOJA WA FALME ZA KIARABU NCHINI

Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Afrika Mashariki Dkt. Augustine Mahiga (Mb.) akutana na kufanya mazungumzo na Balozi wa Falme za kiarabu nchini Mhe. Abdulla Ibrahim Ghanim Al Suweid katika mazungumzo yao balozi Al Suwied alimweleza Mhe. Waziri juu ya maandalizi ya Mkutano wa Kwanza wa Tume ya Pamoja ya Kudumu ya Ushirikiano (JPC) baina ya Tanzania na UAE ambao unatarajiwa kufanyika tarehe 19 na 20, Dicemba, 2016 huko Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Wa kwanza kulia ni Katibu wa Waziri Bw. Gerald Mbwafu pamoja na Afisa Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Afrika Mashariki Bw. Hangson Mgaka, nao wakifuatilia kwa makini mazungumzo kati Waziri Mahiga na Balozi Al Suweid (Hawapo pichani).

Tarehe 04 Novemba, 2016, Mhe. Dkt. Augustine P Mahiga (Mb), Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Afrika Mashariki alikutana na kufanya mazungumzo na Mhe. Abdulla Ibrahim Ghanim Al Suweid, Balozi wa Umoja wa Falme za Kiarabu nchini. Balozi huyo alikuja kuzungumzia maandalizi ya Mkutano wa Kwanza wa Tume ya Pamoja ya Kudumu ya Ushirikiano (JPC) baina ya Tanzania na UAE ambao unatarajiwa kufanyika tarehe 19 na 20, Disemba, 2016 huko Abu Dhabi, UAE. 

Sambamba na Mkutano wa JPC, Mheshimiwa Waziri na Balozi walizungumzia pia kuhusu ombi la UAE la kufanyika Kongamano la Biashara na Uwekezaji baina ya Tanzania na UAE ambalo UAE imependekeza lifanyike wakati wa mkutano wa JPC huko Abu Dhabi, UAE.


Katika mkutano huo wa JPC maeneo ya ushirkiano ambayo yatazungumziwa na kukubaliwa ni pamoja na sekta ya Uchumi, Miundombinu (Bandari, Viwanja vya Ndege pamoja na Reli), Biashara, Uwekezaji, Viwanda, Kilimo, Afya, Utalii pamoja na Nishati ya Mafuta na Gesi. 

Aidha, viongozi hawa walizungumzia pia mikataba mbalimbali ambayo itasainiwa wakati wa mkutano huo wa Tume ya Pamoja ya Kudumu ya Ushirikiano. Mheshimiwa Balozi alisisitiza kuwa Tanzania itumie fursa hii adhimu kwa kujiandaa kikamilifu katika kukuza ushirikiano wa kiuchumi na UAE. 

Kwa upande Mheshimiwa Waziri Mahiga alishukuru kupokea taarifa hiyo na kuahidi kufuatilia kwa karibu ili kuona Mkutano huo wa JPC unafanyika na kufanikiwa kwa manufaa za nchi zote mbili.

Joint Communique Between Tanzania and Morocco

                        


                           
JOINT COMMUNIQUE BETWEEN THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA AND THE KINGDOM OF MOROCCO ISSUED AT THE CONCLUSION
OF THE STATE VISIT TO THE UNITED REPUBLIC OF TANZANIA
BY HIS MAJESTY MOHAMMED VI, KING OF MOROCCO

1.             At the invitation of His Excellency Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, His Majesty Mohammed VI, King of Morocco paid a State Visit to the United Republic of Tanzania from 23rd to 25th October, 2016.  During visit, His Majesty Mohammed VI was accompanied by a high level delegation, including Ministers, Senior Officials of the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, as well as members of the Moroccan business community.
2.             In a cordial and friendly atmosphere, the two countries have decided to work together and coordinate their respective efforts to address the challenges that Africa faces in terms of development, stability and security.
3.             President Magufuli commended the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI and paid tribute to His role in promoting peace, stability and development in Africa. He recognized that the South-South cooperation advocated by His Majesty the King Mohammed VI – based on pragmatism, efficiency and public-private partnership is at the core of development cooperation in Africa.
4.             President Magufuli also paid tribute to the leading role that Morocco has been playing in promoting economic growth and sustainable development in various international fora and commended Morocco’s decision to host COP.22 meeting from 7 - 18 November 2016, in Marrakech.
5.             On bilateral issues, the two Heads of State commended the friendly relations between the two countries and committed to work together with a view to further strengthening    the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. They reiterated their readiness to establish an Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Tanzania and a Consulate General of the United Republic of Tanzania in Morocco.
6.             In this context, they further vowed to enhance these ties of friendship of cooperation in various fields, including tourism, agriculture, railway transport, and trade. They also pledged to continue exploring new areas of cooperation, such as in economic, scientific, technical and cultural domains, as well as security cooperation and fight against terrorism and radicalism, for the mutual benefit of the two countries and peoples.
7.             To that end, they commended Tanzania-Morocco Trade and Investment Forum that was held on 22nd October 2016, which offered an opportunity for business leaders from the two countries to discuss ways and means to promote two-way trade and set up a win-win economic partnership.
8.             They also witnessed the signing of a number of Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding between both countries in the public and private sectors, covering cooperation on a wide range of areas, including political consultations, agriculture, fisheries, energy, logistics, air services, culture, science and technology, tourism, air services and finance.
9.             In order to realize the desired gains for their two peoples, the two Heads of State directed their Ministers and Senior Officials to work determinedly to implement the signed agreements between Morocco and Tanzania. It is in this spirit that His Excellency President Magufuli declared that henceforth the referral visa requirement for citizens of Morocco coming to Tanzania has been lifted.
10.         On international issues, the two Heads of State discussed the decision of Morocco to rejoin the African Union. In this respect, H.E. Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli expressed Tanzania’s support to Morocco's decision to integrate and find its rightful place in the African Union. He further expressed his readiness to support the admission of Morocco to the Pan – African Institutional family as early as the next Summit.  The two Heads of State expressed their hope that the return of Morocco to the African Union would pave the way to address the longstanding political and diplomatic issues of concern to Morocco.
11.         Regarding the Sahara issue, H.E. Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli expressed the support of Tanzania to the efforts by the United Nations to reach a just, lasting and mutually agreed solution. In the spirit of reconciliation and search for a lasting solution, Tanzania understands the established position of Morocco, welcomes its serious and credible Moroccan efforts and is ready to contribute towards implementation of the relevant resolutions of the United Nations on this issue.
12.         The two Heads of States share the same ambitious vision for Africa masters of its own destiny, in charge of its own development and committed to the path of stability. They underscored, in this regard, the need to strengthen South-South and triangular cooperation, and to promote a continuous and sustainable development, based on the valuation of own African resources and skills.
13.         During the visit, His Majesty Mohamed VI also unveiled the plaque for the construction of a Mosque to be erected with the gracious contribution of His Majesty the King of Morocco at the BAKWATA Headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
14.         At the conclusion of the Official Visit, His Excellency President Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty Mohammed VI for honoring his invitation and for the fruitful discussions they held. On his part, His Majesty Mohammed VI expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency President Dr. John Pombe Joseph Magufuli, the Government and People of the United Republic of Tanzania for the invitation extended to him as well as the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him and his delegation during the entire duration of his visit. Finally, the two Heads of State underscored their firm desire and commitment of their respective Governments to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
