World Leaders congratulate President Kikwete


Leaders from different parts of the world have continued to congratulate H.E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania upon marking 48th Anniversary of the Union between Tanganyika and Zanzibar on April 26, 2012.

H.E. Kim Yong Nam, the President of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea said the government and people of Tanzania have achieved a greater success in the work for national unity and economic development.

"I take this opportunity to wish you greater success in your and your people’s efforts for development and prosperity of the country,” he said.

On his part, the President of the French Republic, Mr. Nicolas Sarkozy said his country shares the international commitment of Tanzania in favor of democracy, good governance and development, and appreciates Tanzania contribution to the peace and strengthening regional integration in Africa.

"I am delighted about the presence of the United Republic of Tanzania in the Peace and Security Council of the African Union, and tanzania's readness in furthering dialogue on regional security issues between our two countries.”

The President of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Abdullah Gϋl, told the Tanzanian President that his country cherishes the achievement attained so far saying he was confident that Tanzania will remain determined to stay the course for development and enhancing bilateral ties between the two countries.”

H.E. Mr. Truong Tan Sang, the President of Vietnam said Tanzanians under the able leadership of President Kikwete have managed to attain a tremendous achievements while maintaining peace and unity of its people.

President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, said Pakistan and Tanzania have historically maintained and nurtured very close, cordial and cooperation relations in diverse fields and called for a sustained and continued progress of the people and economic development of Tanzania.

President Kikwete also received the goodwill messages from Sultan of Oman, the Republic of Benin, Mexico and Hellenic Republic of Greece.
