A Congratulatory Message to the UAE's 42nd National Day
The
message reads as follows:

President of the United Arab Emirates and
Ruler of Abu Dhabi,

ARAB EMIRATES.
Your Highness,
On
behalf of the Government and the People of the United Republic of Tanzania, and
indeed on my own behalf, I would like to sincerely convey my warm
congratulations to you, Your Highness and through you, to the Government and
the People of the United Arab Emirates on this significant celebrations of the
42nd Anniversary of the United Arab Emirates National Day.
The United Arab Emirates and the United Republic
of Tanzania have enjoyed cordial bilateral relations over the years. As you
commemorate this joyous occasion of your country’s independence, I wish to take
this opportunity to reiterate my Government’s desire and commitment to continue
to further enhance the traditional bond

Katika mazungumzo, Mkurugenzi Mkuu amemfahamisha Mh. Balozi kuwa Shirika la Biashara Duniani liko katika hatua za mwisho kukamilisha majadiliano ya mikataba ya Biashara ya Kimataifa katika maeneo matatu kwa pamoja ikiwa ni masuala ya Kilimo, Maendeleo na Uwezeshaji Biashara.
Aidha, Mkurungenzi Mkuu alielezea mahusiano mazuri aliyonayo na nchi yetu kwa kipindi kifupi akiwa kama Mkurugenzi Mkuu, na kuwa aliliona hilo wakati wa kampeini yake alipokuja nchini kuomba kura yetu. Ni kwa mantiki hiyo na imani aliyo nayo kwa Tanzania, Mkurugenzi huyo ameomba Tanzania itumie ushawishi wake ili kufanikisha mkutano wa Mawaziri wa Biashara utakaofanyika mjini Bali Indonesia kuanzia tarehe 3-6 December 2013, ili kupitisha mikataba ya Biashara katika maeneo matatu yaliyotajwa hapa juu.

A Condolence message to Islamic Republic of Iran
H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania has sent a condolence message and sympathy to H.E. Hassan Rohani, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The message reads as follows:
“H.E Hassan Rohani,
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran,
TEHRAN,
IRAN.
Your Excellency,
I learnt with immense shock on the terrorist act of explosions which took place near to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Beirut, Lebanon on 19th November, 2013 and caused martyrdom of the Iranian Cultural Counsellor, Spouse of the one Iranian Diplomat and a number of innocent people.
On behalf of the Government, the people of the United Republic of Tanzania and indeed on my own behalf, I would like to convey to you and through you to the Government and the people of the Islamic Republic of Iran our heartfelt condolence and profound sympathy to the occasion of explosion in Beirut.
In this time of grief, we pray to the Almighty Allah to give the family of the bereaved strength and courage during this difficult period and we also wish the survivors quick recovery.
Please accept, Your Excellency and dear Colleague, the assurance of my highest consideration.

Tanzania and Malawi submit written reply for the Lake Nyasa border row
Tanzania and Malawi delegations led by Foreign Affairs Ministers Bernard K. Membe (MP) (Tanzania) and Ephraim Chiume (Malawi), officially submitted written replies on the Lake Nyasa border row, earlier today in Maputo Mozambique.
The two countries submitted their written replies to the former Mozambique President Joachim Chissano, who leads a panel of former Heads of State of the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Other mediators include former President Festus Mogae of Botswana and former President Thabo Mbeki of South Africa.

Minister Membe officiates the Opening of the Consulate of Botswana
Hon. Bernard K. Membe (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation officiates the opening of the Consulate of the Republic of Botswana in the United Republic of Tanzania today in Dar es Salaam. Also cutting the ribbon is High Commissioner Tuelonyana Ditlhabi Olipant (2nd left) of the Republic of Botswana in the United Republic of Tanzania with residence in Zambia. Minister Membe gives his remarks to officiate the opening of the Consulate of the Republic of Botswana in Tanzania. During his remark Minister Membe said that this Consulate will bridge the two countries to enhance their economic cooperation in areas that include investment, trade and business. Currently Botswana's investors have invested in Mlimani City's shopping mall, its conference hall, and Botanzal Garden.
