South Africa's Deputy President has arrived in Dar today

H.E Kgalema Motlanthe, the Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa arrived this noon for a two-day working visit to the United Republic of Tanzania.

While in Tanzania, among other things, the visiting Deputy President will pay a courtesy call on the Tanzanian President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete before holding talks with his counterpart, Dr. mohamed Bilal.

On the second leg of his tour, the visiting Deputy President will also visit a farm, Vuyisile Mini-furniture Factory,Luthuli Primary School and make a guided tour to ANC-Hollande Solidarity Hospital before making a visit to ANC's former freedom fighter's camps at Solomon Mahlangu in Morogoro.

The visit is taking place along with OR Tambo Education Tour organsed by. SOMAFCO Trust of South Africa. SOMAFCO Trust organises edicational competitions within South Africa, whose winner gets to visit Tanzania retracing the Liberation heritage route. They have been organising this event for the kast three years.

About 60 South African Young people have are part of the Visiting Deputy President to retracing the South Africa's Liberation Heritage Route in Tanzania through the SOMAFCO initiative.

The Co-ordinator of the Project is Mr Ntokozo, who grew up a child in Mazimbu during the liberation struggle in Morogoro.
