Waziri Membe akiwa ziarani Mkoani Mbeya



Mhe. Bernard K. Membe (Mb), Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa akisaini kitabu cha wageni leo katika Ofisi ya Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Mbeya, wakati akiwa katika ziara ya siku mbili Mkoani humo.


Mhe. Waziri Membe akifafanua kuhusu mgogoro wa Mpaka wa Ziwa Nyasa kati ya Tanzania na Malawi mbele ya Kamati ya Ulinzi na Usalama chini ya Uenyekiti wa Mhe. Abbas Kandoro, Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Mbeya.


Baadhi ya wajumbe wa Kamati ya Ulinzi na Usalama Mkoani Mbeya wakimsikiliza kwa makini Mhe. Waziri Membe (hayupo pichani).




Wilayani Kyela, Mbeya

Mkuu wa Wilaya ya Kyela, Mhe. M. Malenga akimkaribisha Mhe. Waziri Membe (wa pili kulia), wakati alipotembelea Ofisini yake Wilayani Kyela.  Mhe. Membe yupo Mkoani Mbeya kwa ziara ya siku mbili ambapo atatembelea na kuzungumza na wananchi waishio katika maeneo yaliyopo kando ya Ziwa Nyasa.

Wajumbe mbalimbali waliohudhuria Mkutano wakimsikiliza Mkuu wa Wilaya ya Kyela (hayupo pichani).

Safari ya kuelekea kwenye mpaka wa Mto Songwe

Mkuu wa Wilaya ya Kyela akiuongoza msafara wa Waziri Membe kuelekea kwenye mpaka wa Mto Songwe uliopo kati ya Tanzania na Malawi.


Mhe. Waziri Membe na msafara wake wakiwa wamesimama kwenye mpaka wa Mto Songwe.


Waziri Membe akiangalia Mto Songwe, huku akitafakari mpaka kwa vile hapo aliposimama kwa ufupi ni nchini Malawi ambapo wananchi wa nchi zote mbili upishana wakiwa katika shughuli zao za kawaida (angalia alama ya tundu lililoko chini ya fensi - kulia).


Mhe. Waziri Membe akiongea na Wajumbe wa msafara wake akiwemo Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Mbeya, Mhe. Abbas Kandoro (mwenye shati jeupe mbele ya Waziri), Balozi Irene Kasyanju (wa pili kushoto), Mkurugenzi wa Kitengo cha Sheria kwenye Wizara ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa na Balozi Dkt. Makazi ya wananchi wa Malawi kando ya Mto Songwe ambapo mmoja wa wananchi anaonekana akifua nguo (pichani - upande wa kushoto ambao ni ng'ambo ya mpaka kwa upande wa Malawi) wakati wengine (kulia) wanaonekana wakiendelea na shughuli zao za kawaida huku wakiwa tayari ng'ambo ya mpaka kwa upande wa Tanzania.

President Kikwete sends congratulatory message to President of Turkey

H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Abdullah Gul, President of the Republic of Turkey on the occasion of the National day of Turkey.

The message reads as follows.

Press Release

Hon. Bernard K. Membe (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation is leading a team of Government officials and stakeholders in a two-day official exploratory tour in Mbeya Region. The Minister is expected to visit Kyela District to meet elders and people living around the shore of Lake Nyasa. 
This tour is yet another continuation of the exploratory mission undertook by Hon. Membe with this team last two months ago in Ruvuma Region, whereas they toured Wards of Mbamba Bay, Lituhi, Liuli including Songea District.  It is an effort to brief citizens residing around Lake Nyasa about the ongoing border dispute with Malawi and solicit their views and contributions to the ongoing border talks.
The team is consisted of officials from the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Human Settlements Development, Ministry of Information, Culture and Sports, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, State House, Ministry of Defense and Scholars from various universities.
Tanzania and Malawi have been in dispute over the Lake Nyasa, whereas Malawi claims ownership of the whole Lake of the area under dispute and Tanzania claims the 50 percent share ownership of the same.
The Minister is expected to end his tour on 30 October, 2012.

Japanese Companies plan to create more businesses, jobs in Tanzania

Ambassador Kairuki in a group photo with Executives of Somitomo Corporation, a Japanese based trading Conglomerate Company investing in Tanzania's power sector.  Accompanying him is Mr. Francis Mosongo, Head of Chancery of the Embassy of the United Republic of Tanzania in Japan.


Ambassador Kairuki in a photo with Mr. Koshin Komiya, Senior Managing Executive Officer and Director of Nitori Holdings Co., Ltd. when he paid him a courtesy visit at Nitori Head Office in Tokyo, Japan.  In their discussion, Mr. Komiya informed Ambassador Kairuki that his Company intends to invest in Textiles Industry in Tanzania and create 2000 direct jobs.  The industry will also create assured market to cotton farmers in Tanzania.

UN Marks 67th Years Anniversary

UN Day Exhibitions to mark 67th Years Anniversary

President Kikwete sends Congratulatory Message to Pope Benedict XVI
