Chinese Vice Premier visits the Chinese Expert Cemetry and TAZARA Station

Chinese Vice Premier visits the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre



The Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre, a building project sponsored by the Government of the People's Republic of China.

H.E. Hui Liangyu, Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China and Hon. Bernard K. Membe (MP), Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation get briefed about the construction progress of the Julius Nyerere International Convention Centre.


Hon. Membe discuss something with H.E. Hui Liangyu.  The Chinese Vice Premier is in the country for a two-day oficial visit from September 5 to 7, 2012.  The visit aims to continue strenghthening the bilateral relations between the two countries in various areas, including agricultural and energy sectors.

Hon. Pinda hosts bilateral talks with the Chinese Vice Premier; Agreements signed


Hon. Mizengo Peter Pinda, Prime Minister of the United Republic of Tanzania, together with Government Officials that include Hon. Bernard K. Membe (MP), Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation held bilateral talks with H.E. Hui Liangyu, Vice Premier of the People's Republic of China who is accompanied by Chinese Governmentt high ranking officials, as well as representatives of Chinese Corporations.

Exchange of Letters of the China aided project of the office building at the Mwalimu Nyerere Convention Centre signed by Hon. Dr. William Mgimwa (MP), Minister of Finance and H.E. Zhai Jun, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China.  The signing ceremony is witnessed by Hon. Pinda and H.E. Hui Liangyu. 


Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and the China Merchants Holdings (International) Company Limited.  Signing Agreements are Hon. Dr. Mary Nagu (MP), Minister of State- Prime Minister's Office (Investment and Empowerment) and Dr. Hu Jianhua, Managing Director of China Merchants Holdings (International) Company Limited in China.  Assisting Hon. Dr. Nagu in signing of the Agreements is  Mr. Abdallah Mtibora, Foreign Service Officer (Law) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation. 


Memorandum of Understanding between Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives of the United Republic of Tanzania and the Ministry of Agriculture of the People's Republic of China on further agricultural cooperation.  Signing the Agreements are Hon. Eng. Christopher K. Chiza (MP), Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Cooperatives and H.E. Niu Dun, Vice Minister for Agriculture in China.  Assisting Hon. Eng. Chiza in signing of the Agreements is Mr. Abdallah Mtibora, Foreign Service Officer (Law) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation.

MKUTANO WA WARATIBU NA WATAALAM WA NCHI ZA MAZIWA MAKUU (ICGLR)‏


Balozi James Mugume, Mratibu wa Kitaifa kutoka Uganda ambaye pia ni Mwenyekiti wa Mkutano wa Waratibu wa Kitaifa na Wataalam kutoka Nchi za Ukanda wa Maziwa Makuu akifungua mkutano huo leo tarehe 5 Septmba, 2012 uliofanyika katika Hoteli ya Speke Resort iliyopo eneo la Munyonyo pembezoni mwa Jiji la Kampala, Uganda. Mkutano huo utafuatiwa na Mkutano wa Mawaziri tarehe 6 Septemba, 2012 na baadaye Mkutano wa Wakuu wa Nchi na Serikali utakaofanyika Kampala, Uganda tarehe 7 na 8 Septemba, 2012.

Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania, Mheshimiwa Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete leo, Jumatano, Septemba 5, 2012, amekutana na kufanya mazungumzo na Naibu Waziri Mkuu wa Jamhuri ya Watu wa China Mheshimiwa Hui Liangya kuhusu masuala mbali mbali yanayohusu uhusiano kati ya nchi hizo mbili.
          Katika mazungumzo hayo yaliyofanyika Ikulu, Dar es Salaam mara tu baada ya Mheshimiwa Liangya kuwasili nchini kwa ziara ya siku tatu katika Tanzania kama sehemu ya ziara ya nchi za Afrika,  viongozi wote wawili wameeleza  kuridhishwa kwao na hali na ustawi wa uhusiano kati ya nchi hizo mbili.
Rais Kikwete ametumia nafasi ya ziara hiyo ya Mheshimiwa Liangya kuishukuru China kwa michango yake katika jitihada za maendeleo za Tanzania.
Amesema Rais Kikwete: ”Jamhuri ya Watu wa China imetusaidia mengi katika jitihada zetu za maendeleo kuanzia kwenye ujenzi wa Reli ya TAZARA, ujenzi wa Uwanja wa Taifa, ujenzi wa Ukumbi wa Kimataifa wa Mikutano wa Julius Nyerere, ujenzi wa bomba la gesi kutoka Mtwara hadi Dar Es Salaam, ujenzi wa Mkongo wa Taifa wa Mawasiliano, na ahadi ya kusaidia kuanzisha Benki ya Kilimo Tanzania. Kwa hakika Jamhuri ya Watu wa China imetusaidia mengi na tunaishukuru sana.”
Rais Kikwete  pia ameitaka China kuendelea kuisaidia Tanzania hasa katika maeneo ya jinsi ya kuongeza kasi ya uchumi. “Tunataka kwa kweli kujifunza kutoka mifano ya mafanikio ya marafiki zetu wa karibu kama China. Hivyo, bado tunaendelea kusisitiza ushirikiano wa China katika kuanzisha na kuendesha maeneo maalum ya uzalishaji –Special Economic Zones “
Naye Mheshimiwa Liangya amemwambia Rais Kikwete kuwa China itaendelea kuimarisha uhusiano wake na Tanzania ambao umekuwa unashamiri tokea ulipoanzishwa na Baba wa Taifa Mwalimu Julius Nyerere na Mwenyekiti Mao Tse Dung.
Mheshimiwa Liangya amesema kuwa undani wa miradi yote ambayo China inasaidia katika Tanzania ungejadiliwa kwenye mkutano kati yake na Waziri Mkuu Mheshimiwa Mizengo Pinda katika mazungumzo rasmi yaliyofanyika baada mchana wa leo.
Kiongozi huyo wa China pia ameisifu Serikali ya Mheshimiwa Kikwete kwa uamuzi wake wa kuanzisha Mpango wa Maendeleo wa Miaka mitano na kuongeza kuwa mpango huo umeandaliwa kwa umakini mkubwa. “Nawapongezeni kwa uamuzi wenu wa busara wa kuanzisha tena Mpango wa Maendeleo wa Miaka Mitano. Ukitekelezwa vizuri unaweza kusukuma kwa kasi zaidi maendeleo ya nchi yetu.”

Chinese Vice Premier arrives in Dar

The Prime Minister Hon. Mizengo Peter Pinda (MP) arrives at the airport and is welcomed by Chinese Embassy Officials and Tanzania Government Officials.

Naibu Waziri Mkuu wa China Mhe. Hui Liangyu na ujumbe wake anatarajiwa kuwasili nchini tarehe 5 Septemba, 2012 kwa ziara ya kikazi ya siku mbili.

Akiwa nchini, Mhe. Hui ataonana na Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania Mhe. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete na kufanya mazungumzo rasmi na Waziri Mkuu wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania Mhe. Mizengo Pinda yatakayofuatiwa na uwekaji saini mikataba minne ya ushirikiano kati ya Tanzania na China.

Mikataba hiyo itahusu ushirikiano katika sekta ya Kilimo, msaada wa ujenzi wa Jengo la Wizara ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa, Ujenzi wa Bomba la Gesi na ujenzi wa Bandari ya Bagamoyo.

Tarehe 6 Septemba 2012, Mhe Hui atatembelea jengo la ukumbi wa  mikutano la Julius Nyerere lililojengwa kwa msaada wa Serikali ya China, Reli ya Tazara na Makaburi ya Wachina huko Majohe, Pugu.  Baadaye mchana Mhe.Hui ataelekea Zanzibar kufanya mazungumzo na Rais wa Zanzibar.

Mhe Hui anatarajiwa kuondoka nchini tarehe 7 Septemba 2012 saa 6 mchana.
