Algeria Embassy Celebrates National Day

Celestine Mushy who was the Guest of Honor at the Algeria's National Day Reception delivers a speech on behalf of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania. The reception held at the New Africa Hotel on Friday 20th 2015.

TANZANIA PUBLIC SERVICE PENSIONS FUND RECEIVES THE GOLDEN AWARD FOR QUALITY AND BUSINESS PRESTIGE IN GENEVA, SWITZERLAND

The award was received on behalf of PSPF by Ambassador Modest J. Mero, Permanent Representative of Tanzania to UN, at the ceremony held at Hotel Intercontinental in Geneva on 23 November 2015. 
The PSPF has received the Golden award for Quality and Business Prestige from the Association Otherways Management and Consulting based in Paris, France in recognition of her achievements in areas of Innovation, Quality Commitment and Excellence.

New IOM Chief to Tanzania Presents Letter of Credence

Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Amb. Liberata Mulamula (R) receives letters of Credence from New Chief of Mission of International Organization for Migration (IOM) to Tanzania, Dr. Qasim Sufi. Dr. Sufi is coming from Chad where he was holding the same position.
New IOM Chief of Mission to Tanzania (L) is in official talks with Amb. Mulamula, that focussed on the importance of strengthing cooperation between IOM and Tanzania. Amb. Mulamula thanked IOM for their various aids extended to Tanzania including the formulation of Diaspora web portal that is to be inaugurated on 30th of this month.

Katibu Mkuu Wizara ya Mambo ya nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa Balozi Liberata Mulamula akiweka saini kwenye kitabu cha wageni mara baada ya kutembelea Jumba la Makumbusho la Taifa lililopo jijini Dar es Salaam. MAREKEBISHO YA BARAZA KUU LA USALAMA YATAONGEZA TIJA- TANZANIA

Naibu Mwakilishi wa Kudumu wa Tanzania katika Umoja wa Mataifa, Balozi Ramadhan Mwinyi akizugumza siku ya Alhamis wakati Baraza Kuu la Umoja wa Mataifa lilipokuwa likijadili Taarifa ya mwaka ya Baraza Kuu la Usalama la Umoja wa Mataifa.

Tanzania imekaribisha  juhudi zinazochuliwa na  Baraza Kuu la Usalama la Umoja wa Mataifa za kuboresha uwazi na utendaji wenye tija wa chombo hicho juhudi ambazo pia  zinahusisha mijadala ya wazi.

Hayo yameelezwa na  Naibu Mwakilishi wa Kudumu wa Tanzania katika Umoja wa Mataifa, Balozi Ramadhan Mwinyi wakati  Baraza Kuu la Umoja wa Mataifa,  lilipokuwa likijadili Taarifa ya  Mwaka  ya Baraza Kuu la Usalama la Umoja wa Mataifa.

 Taarifa hiyo    iliwasilishwa siku ya  alhamisi na   Mwakilishi wa Kudumu wa Uingereza,  Balozi Matthew Rycroft ambaye nchi yake  ndiye Rais wa  Baraza Kuu la  Usalama kwa  mwezi huu wa  Novemba.

Taaria hiyo ambayo ni  ya  kuanzia  Agosti Mosi 2014 hadi Julai 31 2015 imeanisha mikutano  ya wazi na  ya ndani iliyofanywa na Baraza kwa kipindi hicho, maazimio yaliyopitishwa, taarifa za rais wa Baraza kwa  mwezi, na   ziara za kikazi zilizofanywa   na wajumbe wa Baraza. ambaye ni  Mwakilishi wa Kudumu wa Uingereza Balozi katika Umoja wa Mataifa.

Balozi Mwinyi,  amesema  mijadala  ya wazi inayoandaliwa na  Baraza Kuu la Usalama la Umoja wa Mataifa  inatoa fursa na kufungua milango kwa  nchi nyingi zaidi kushiriki nje ya wajumbe  15 wa Baraza  na kwamba Tanzania ni kati ya nchi ambazo zimekuwa ikishiriki mijadala hiyo ya wazi.

 Pamoja na  kupongeza juhudi hizo,  Mwakilishi huyo wa Tanzania, amesema,  ni matumaini ya Tanzania   kuwa  katika  siku za usoni,  Baraza Kuu la litaanda mijadala katika namna ambayo itawezesha wajumbe kuzingatia hoja zilizotolewa na  washiriki wengine kabla ya kupitisha matokoe ya mijadala hiyo.

Vilevile  Balozi Mwinyi amesema, juhudi zinazochukuliwa na  wadau mbalimbali za kudhibiti matumizi ya kura ya turufu hasa katika kuzuia mauaji ya halaiki, ni  juhudi sahihi na zinazopashwa kuugwa mkono.

Akizungumzia zaidi  matumizi ya kura ya turufu, Balozi Ramadhan Mwinyi ametoa wito kwa  mataifa yenye hadhi ya kutumia kura hiyo  kuhakikisha kwamba wanaitumia pale tu inapobidi na kwa kuzingatia matakwa na mamlaka zilizoainishwa  Katiba ya Umoja wa Mataifa.

“ Tuna toa wito wa Baraza kuu la Usalama la Umoja wa mataifa, kuingiza katika taarifa zake za baadaye kwa Baraza Kuu la Umoja wa Mataifa,  tathmini ya   matokeo ya maamuzi  pale kura ya turufu ilipotumika na matokeo ya pale  ambapo kura ya turufu haikutumika katika maamuzi yaliyofikiwa” akasisitiza Balozi  Mwinyi.

Kuhusu  yaliyomo katika taarifa hiyo, Balozi  amesema,  Tanzania inaungana  na  nchi nyingine katika kutaka taarifa hizo  ziwe na uchambuzi wa kina na  zilizo  makini badala ya kuorothesha  kazi za Baraza hilo kama ilivyo sasa.

Tanzania pia   kupitia  Mwakilisihi wake ,  imekaribisha  namna ambavyo Baraza Kuu la Usalama linavyopanua wigo wa majadiliano na  Vyombo  vingine  zikiwamo Asasi  za kijamii na wanazuoni katika  kujadilia masuala mtambuka.

“ Hata hivyo tumegundua  kuwa  baadhi ya mada zinazojadiliwa siyo tu  zimekuwa  zikiwagawa washiriki lakini pia zinakuwa nje ya mamlaka ya Baraza. Tunaomba tukumbushe kwamba  Baraza Kuu la Usalama kama Chombo wakilishi cha  Baraza Kuu la  Umoja wa Mataifa, Baraza linatakiwa kujiepusha  mada ambazo  hazina tija”.

Baadhi ya wazungumzaji wengine waliochangia  taarifa hiyo ya Baraza Kuu la Usalama,  wameelezea kwamba  licha ya  utekelezaji  wa  mamlaka ya Baraza hilo katika kusimamia  Amani na usalama wa kimataifa,  Baraza limeshindwa kabisa kumaliza  baadhi ya migogoro kama  ule wa Syria ambao  umedumu  kwa muda mrefu.

Task Force Coordinator, Registry, ICC Visits Ministry of Foreign Affairs


Task Force Coordinator, Registry, ICC, Ms. Jelena Vukasinovic who is based in Kenya empasizes a point when she met for conversation with the Director of Legal Affairs Unit in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Amb.
