Pakistan Ambassador visits Ministry of Foreign Affairs


Ambassador Rajabu Gamaha, Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation welcomes H.E. Tajammul Altaf, the High Commissioner for Pakistan to the United Republic of Tanzania.  Ambassador Altaf has just finished his three-years tenure in the country.

Ambassador Gamaha in a discussion with the outgoing Pakistan Ambassador Altaf, who had paid a courtesy visit in the Ministry today in Dar es Salaam.  During their meeting, the two Ambassadors expressed their satisfaction in the areas of cooperation that happily exist between the two countries such as in education sector, business and trade sectors.  

Mr. Omary Mjenga, Acting Director of the Department of Asia and Australasia and Mr. Charles Faini, Foreign Service Officer both from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also present during the meeting. 

Ambassador Altaf also took time to thank the Government of Tanzania for its continued support and cooperation with Pakistan during his tenure.  He said that the three-years that he has spent in Dar es Salaam were memorable and he will continue to be a goodwill Ambassador of Tanzania to his future endeavors.  

Ambassador Altaf also took time to meet with Mr. Omary Mjenga prior to his meeting with Ambassador Rajabu Gamaha (not in the photo).   Also in the photo is Mr. Muhammad Iqbal (left), Second Secretary in the High Commission for Pakistan to the United Republic of Tanzania. 

Mr. Mjenga bids well wishes to the Pakistan outgoing Ambassador and assured him of cooperation for the upcoming new Ambassador.

The meeting continues, whereby Ambassador Altaf expressed the need to explore other areas of cooperation such as investment, health, insurance, banking and infrastructure.  He said that his successor will continue to bridge the foundation of the bilateral ties that continue to exist between the two countries.
