President Kikwete congratulates Nigeria on achieving 53 years of independence


H.E. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania has sent a Congratulatory Message to H.E. Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the occasion of celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the independence of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the 1st of October, 2013. 


The message reads as follows:

“His Excellency Dr. Goodluck Jonathan
President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
ABUJA

Your Excellency and Dear Brother,

On behalf of the Government and People of the United Republic of Tanzania and, indeed on my own behalf, I would like to extend to Your Excellency and through you to the Government and People of the Federal   Republic of Nigeria, our heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the independence of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

As we join you in celebrating this historic occasion, we note with satisfaction that our two countries continue to enjoy cordial relations.  In this connection, I wish to reiterate my desire as well as that of the Government and People of the United Republic of Tanzania to further enhance and strengthen the cordial relations that so happily exist between our two countries by exploring more opportunities of cooperation for the mutual benefit of our peoples.

Please accept, Your Excellency and Dear Brother, my personal best wishes for your continued good health and for the progress and prosperity of the People of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
