H.H Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE

PRESS RELEASE

H.E Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania has sent a condolence message to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates following the killing of 45 Emirati solders while on duty in Yemen.

The message reads as follows;

“His Highness, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan,
President of the United Arab Emirates,
ABU DHABI,

Your Highness,

I have received with great sorrow the sad news about the untimely killing of 45 Emirati soldiers in a missile attack in Yemen on Friday 04th September, 2015.

On behalf of the Government and People of the United Republic of Tanzania, and on my behalf, I wish to convey our most heartfelt condolences to you and through you to the Government and the People of the United Arab Emirates for the great loss of Emirati heroes.

The killing of 45 Emirati soldiers who were on duties in Yemen has touched many people around the World. They will be remembered for their tireless efforts and commitment in pursuit of international peace and security especially for their work in Yemen.

My Government condemns that killing as well as the ongoing political crisis in Yemen that was caused by Houthi rebels. Our Government calls upon to the international community in particular the United Nations to intervene the situation in Yemen. May the soul of the departed rest in eternal Peace”.
