PRESS RELEASE

H.E. Dr. Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, President of the United Republic of Tanzania has sent a condolence message to H.R.H. Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia following a tragic death of more than 700 pilgrims which occurred in Makkah  on 24th September, 2015.

 The massage reads as follows:

“His Royal Highness Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
King of Saudi Arabia and Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques,
RIYADH,
SAUDI ARABIA.

Your Royal Highness,

I am deeply saddened by the news about the death of more than 700 pilgrims and injured of others more than 800 on Thursday 24th September, 2015 in a stampede outside the holy city of Makkah when they were completing their rituals.

On behalf of the Government and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania, I wish to convey to you and through you to the people of the Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and all the bereaved pilgrims’ families, our heartfelt condolences and sympathies.

My family and the people of the United Republic of Tanzania are praying that the departed soul be rested in paradise, and for patience and solace to all pilgrims’ families around the world.

May Almighty Allah grant quick recovery to all injured people.

Please accept, Your Royal Highness and dear colleague, the assurance of my highest consideration”.
