Dr. Mlima Meets Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations


Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, East Africa, Regional and International Cooperation, Dr. Aziz Ponary Mlima (right) is in the official discussions with the Assistant Secretary General – Political Affairs of the United Nations, Mr. Taye Brook Zerihoun who paid a courtesy visit at the Ministry recently. The two discussed the importance of enhancing cooperation between the United Nations and the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC)  especially in the area of conflict prevention and resolution.

Innocent Shiyo followed by Head of Government Coomunication Unit, Ms. Mindi Kasiga; Director of Political, Defence and Security Department, Mr. Stephen Mbundi and Acting Director of Africa Department, Mr. Merdad Ngaiza.

UN Resident Coordinator and UNDP Representative in Tanzania, Mr. Alvaro Rodriguez (R) with his colleague in the office also attended the discussions.
