H.E. Ambassador Juma Alfani Mpango, Dean of Diplomatic Corps who is also Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to the United Republic of Tanzania was also in attendance at the Mwalimu Nyerere International Convention Centre for the key-handover ceremony of the Convention Centre built in support by the Chinese Government and the anticipated speech of President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China on Afro-Sino relations.
H.E. Ambassador Sinikka Antila of Finland to the United Republic of Tanzania was also among the guests.
H.E. Ambassador Yahya bin Moussa al Bakri (3rd right), Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Republic of Tanzania and H.E. Ambassador Tajammul Altaf (4th right), High Commissioner of Pakistan to the United Republic of Tanzania were also in attendance.
Ambassador Charles A. Sanga (left), Chairman of Tanzania Tourism Board who also is a former Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania to the People's Republic of China was also in attendance together with Ambassador Mohammed Maundi, Director of the Tanzania-Mozambique Centre for Foreign Relations and a former Ambassador of the United Republic of Tanzania in Ethiopia.
Notable guests included Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro, Member of the ruling party Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Secretariat Responsible for Foreign Affairs and former Deputy Secretary General of the United Nations and Mr. Nape Nnauye, Executive Secretary of the State-Ideology and Publicity for Chama cha Mapinduzi (CCM).
Also in attendance is Hon. Angela Kairuki (MP), Deputy Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, who is saying hello to one of the Officers from the Chinese Embassy here in Tanzania.
